Studio City house catches fire

Twenty-six firefighters knocked down a residential fire in 26 minutes early Thursday morning in Studio City.

Crews responded at 2:40 a.m. to the 4100 block of Vantage Avenue, where they found a one-story, single-family dwelling with fire showing, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

The location is just north of the Los Angeles River and just west of Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

The fire extended across the roof, so firefighters were forced to move to an interior attack to extinguish the final pockets of the blaze, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
