A 64-year-old Pearblossom man was killed when he ran across Highway 138 in Littlerock and was struck by a car.
The crash was reported at 8:22 p.m. Sunday on westbound Highway 138 east of 96th Street East, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. J. Banta.
The victim ran from the east shoulder across eastbound and westbound lanes and was struck by a westbound 2019 Hyundai driven at about 55 mph by a 50-year-old Burbank woman, Banta said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the sergeant said. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
The woman stopped and cooperated with the investigation, Banta said.
A SigAlert was issued at 8:35 p.m. shutting down all westbound lanes of Pearblossom Highway. The lanes were reopened at 10:51 p.m., said CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
